STARS ONLY SHINE IN DARKNESS

People admire the stars
for the way they glow
and their beauty in the sky
but often forget
stars are only seen in darkness

Maybe, humans are exactly the same
Maybe, they have to be in darkness
to grow:
grow stronger, puissant, vigorous and invulnerable
Nothing alluring comes effortlessly.

And no night,
no matter how desolate it feels
has ever stopped the sun
from rising up again.

Perhaps, hard times and difficult moments
are not endless either.
Perhaps, they are quietly shaping us
into something brighter.

Maybe darkness was never meant
to erase the light
but,
only to reveal it even more.
